hey
i have some kind of emergency and need help with a circuit from engineering school.

attached is the circuit, and the question is :

Express the intrinsic voltage gain when Cgs=Cgd=CL=0 , M4=M7=4M3 , M5=M6
and indicate the values of the poles and DC gain when cl not 0 .

any general help or direction to a place can help me would be great !

i cant post the link with the circuit, just after 2 posts, so i will respond to myself.
thanks a lot .

i will try again ..

cant upload the circuit .

any ideas ?

OK THIS IS THE CIRCUIT !

THANKS A LOT!

Anyone? Please?
Or some other site you know ??

i have read it all...
but this one is more complicated than razavi

Sure. But you're supposed to understand the given method and be able to extend it to a more complicated circuit.
Hints: Razavi's examples Fig. 4.33 , 4.34 & equ. (4.53) as well as Fig. 9.21 , 9.22 & equ. (9.13) come quite close to your pb. Don't forget the gain enhancement by M4|M7. The 2 essential poles are at the output node, and the mirror pole of M3.

thanks erik.
i have seen equ 9.13 , and was working on it for a day.
BUT i have the M3 transistors, i have to take them into acount on the gain calculation ?
AND how does the fact that the transistors sizes in my circuit are different ( W\L) ?
and the poles? how do i find them anyway? and the DC gain ?

I'd think this is quite well explained by Razavi with his description of Fig. 4.33 & 9.21 (didn't I tell you already?).

I think I gave you enough hints. "Anyone who can read is better off".

Forum members give you hints and advice, they don't complete your homework, however. You should be taught by your teachers and your books, comprehend the stuff, strain your brain and try hard to find your own solutions - that's the only way how to learn.
