I have a board with a bunch of mounting holes. All but one of them behave properly. That one hole always moves about half an inch left of where I want it whenever I update the PCB from the schematic.

Even when I double click on it and unlock it, it simply does not move when I select and drag it. If I double click on it and set new coordinates, it will move, but will jump back the next time I update the document.

What could be causing this infuriating problem?

i think there are two pcb library which include same named footprints. and the footprint orjins are different.
check your library paths. when you adding footprint to schematic dont tick "any". you should specify the exactly path. then validate it.

regards.

Check the origin of Mounting Hole footprint its origin might not be at its centre.
