what gps receiver you are using..
it'll be giving some serial data that you can check on hyperterminal of your pc

the same serial data u can take at microcontroller and process that through the code
 
i m using gps m89.
 

Check out the datasheet of the gps. Most gps modules send a stream of data.

You have separate the data's you require from that.
