As I understand it, it should be possible to export schematics from Expedition to ASCII and then import it to Capture. Likewise it should be possible to do the opposite transfer, from Capture to Expedition. There are also many third party programs that say they do the convertion for you.

Does anybody have any experience from this? Does it work well, how does it work, are there any reasons for involving a third party program?

Thank you!

It work well, but not quite right. There are a couple of nuances. If you want, I can write the full path of of transfering OrCAD Capture to Expedition PCB.

Hi Sergiy.malkut,
Pl can you explain how we can transfer orcad capture to expedition PCB.

I try to explain

You have to use the same partnumber names in the Orcad library as in the Expedition library. In Orcad you can create a netlist under "Tools-Create Netlist-Other" and select Intergra. This will create a netlist in the Keyin format which you can read into Expedition.
You can also try to create a EDIF 2 0 0 netlist and try to read this into Expedition.
