gud day!

i'm a newbie here..i need help in my project in bluetooth controlled light and door/electric strike..

first, i would like to know if it is possible for me to interface pic16f877a to a bluetooth module?..there are two bluetooth module available in my area.. EGBT9830 and EGBC04 both are class 2 bluetooth modules..

second is, i would like to know if anyone can give me a schematic on it...

third, is there a website on giving guides and tutors on programming bluetooth interfaced PIC16f877a..please help me

i appreciate your help
thank you so much

Hi,

1. Both those Bluetooth modules communicate in serial mode and will easily communicate with most pics via their USART module.

However the 16F877A is really a 5v chip where as the modules are both 3.3v, so you will need some parts to control the signals between the devices, however the BT manuals do give some guidance.
The easier way may be to use a chip that you can buy as an LF version like the 16LF877A which will run from 2v to 5v.

2&3 - You will have to search these forums /web

thnx for the reply

i'm wondering if you could give me a sample schematic diagram of this?
i'm thinking of putting voltage regulators to supply the diff modules with right voltages..would that be ok?

another thing..i'm will use my phone to control the bluetooth module
would it be possible? please explain..

tnx a lot :-D
