[SOLVED] Cadence 16.3 operated in Windows 7 32 bit

Hi,
My self Hanumagouda Patil from India, I am facing one small problem in Cadence 16.3, i installed the same in Windows 7. Problem is after drawing the schematic once we click on the create netlist it will ask for the destination where to save, after giving all the information once i click on ok it will display a message that "saving the previous netlist " something like message will display. Can any body tell me the solution for this.... i installed this software in laptop not on desktop computer. please help me in this issue

Hi HANUMAGOUDA,

Open the program with Administrator privileges.Use Run as administrator option (OR)Run the Program in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode...

Thanks for your information,but i installed the software by selecting the administrator option, after that also i can not able to import the netlist to PCB Editor because of the above problem.

Following is the problem, i am using cadence v16.3, i installed the same in Windows7 32 bit in my laptop. All the options are working fine, but after creating the schematic whenever i tried to create the netlist it will ask for the "netlist files directory" once i give all the information it will ask for the netlist overwrite. Once i click on OK it will not create the netlist. If i want to import the netlist from the saved directory components will not be available there. For your reference please find the attached files.

Hi,

I can say that the official cadence version that supports Windows 7 is 16.3.005

Hi HANUMAGOUDA,

I had the same problem in both 16.2 and 16.3 and ran the program with administrator privilege and fixed.If u still have the problem better re-install cadence.

Thanks for your reply, i rectified the solution by running the program as administrator.(Note: Even both time that is while installing and while opening the program you have to run as administrator)
