how to build a 5v switching regulator?

I want to use LM393 to build a switching regulator with input of 15 to 60v and output of 5v.

Thank you.
 

try with national semiconductor "simple switcher".

Try to find HV regulators, there are made for higher voltages (e.g. LM2576HV..)
