Advice for running EDA tools on Suse 9.0

Any advice in runing EDA tools using Suse 9.0?

Hi

1. I have tested IC5033 running in suse 9.0 professional.
It is running well.
But If someone asks me for advise I prefer
the following system:

Redhat linux 7.2 (kernel 2.4.+)
A moderated VGA (Somehow older)
512+M RAM
60G+ HDD (With cache or in plus marks)
X-display in 24-bits -truecolor depth
