as for the master/slave boundaries, I don't know the phase difference between master and slave face. which conditions deceide the values of theta and phi? Thanks for your helps

Hi jackle
LBC is based on Floquet theorem.
The phase difference between master and salve is the pointing angle of the array main beam(scan angle) or the phase difference between adjacent elements. It is very useful for infinite arrays.

Hi caocao,
I am a newer to study HFSS, so I cannot catch your teaching post of the above. can you explain it more detailedly?
in my HFSS project, driven modal was used, the 3D model was a unit cell(single wire) cut from an infinite periodic array by parallel perfect conductor wires. I adopted an cubic airbox to contain the single wires. and the excitation type is wave port. (two ports were set for a pair of parallel surfaces of the cubic airbox),and the master/slave surface was choosen for the adjecent pair parallel-surface of the unit cell walls (airbox).
though the simple model detailed above, I cannot decide the phase differnce of the master/slave boundaries by myself.
Thanks in advance.
