Which software is better for basic circuits, Altium or Proteus ?

hi all
what do u have to say for proteus vs altium keeping view the following

1. the projects that are to be made are of the basic level

2. speed is a very important factor.. which of the two provides more speedy completetion of small sized boards with simple design

3. we are working with a single layer

i have a very simple circuits so why not proteus? all i am asking is that i know altium is very flexible and all but isnt proteus a bit better if i just have to rout the circuit and no 3D visualization stuff is required....

actually i am already working with proteus.... i wanted to go to altium but in the circumstances i have outlined above is it really worth it to shift onto altium??

For some simpler circuits, as 1--2 layers, I think you need the simpler SW too :)_ not more & if its free= better...
I think the reality, that you knows a system is the most value(with a good library of course); I would not change my system if it works good for my boards/projects & is reliable as SW!
Otherwise, if you see some complexer projects to coming, clearly will you need a better one.
I think Allegro is a better packet, but its a relative subjective thing & depends heavy from your concrete projects/library needs & your affinities to a selected SW packet...
