Help me solve a problem as my program works only if I set the reset pin high

I AM USING ASM51 TO GENERATE THE HEX FILE AND USING PROLOAD BY SUNROM TECHNOLOGIES TO PROGRAM THE 89S52 UC....I MADE A SIMPLE LED GLOWING PROGRAMME AT PORT 2 OF THE UC..WHEN I CONNECT THE Vcc TO 5 V THE LED AT THE PORT GLOWS CONSTANTLY OR IT DOESNT GLOW ATALL...BUT WEN I GIVE A HIGH TO THE RESET PORT WHILE THE OSCILLATOR IS ON THE BLINKIN STARTS...DO I NED TO EVERYTIME MAKE THE RESET PIN HIGH TO RUN THE PRGRM SUCESFULLY...PLZ SUGGEST ME..

just connect a resistor and capacitor to the reset pin as shown in the diagram
