Dear Members,
I am trying to develop a battery operated device which works on Automobile battery (12V/24VDC) , so the input range is around 9-36VAC.

I need to derive two isolated supplies 5VDC@500mA and 12VDC@1A.I have seen circuits using UC3483 for such circuits.

I need help in deciding the transformer for the same , can anyone help.

The reference circuit you provide does not have isolation. Is isolation a requirement?

I have never seen an isolated SEPIC topology.

Isolation seems to be a must but I a puzzled how to get it.

There is one +12/24VDC supply

12VDC
->>> Relay (interfaced to outside world)
->>>Opto LED side ( Inputs from external sources)

5VDC
->>> Microcontroller (here is the complication)
->>> Opto LED Transistor side

The micro is supposed to measure AC line input and the neutral from the AC line is coupled to the digital ground.
If I don't isolate the neutral will be connected to ground / -ve terminal of the supply battery.
Any suggestions ?
