I'm nanosim user. nanosim is release out of synopsys.
When I read nanosim user guide, following comment is founded.
The set_sim_eou command controls NanoSim simulation engine accuracy
(sim option) and NanoSim MOS modeling accuracy (model option) during
circuit simulation. An additional EOU option is available that controls the
NanoSim netlist commands (net option).
The model=7 option can only be used with direct-modeling. Direct modeling
supports bsim3, bsim4, and MOS9 models.
what is the direct modeling? is it opposite meaning for "lookup table model"?
Hspice use direct modeling?
Since I have litte knowledge about device modeling, I look forward to meet clear and easy-to-understand explanation.
thanks!
