I'm developing a PCI card. My card need -5V, but I have not many experiences about regulators. Can you recommend me most common ICs in the market to convert from +5V to -5V.
Thanks in advance.

MC34063 is very cheap,
But ,If you need no isolate and small current,I think you can use switch capcitor!

Microchip's TC1121 could give an output current of 100mA.

Check it out yourself at www.microchip.com

Hi. Look at Burr-Brown's DCPXXXX series.

Best regards.

Look at hxxp://www.national.com or hxxp://www.linear.com.

They have nice little switching regulators.

can you give a sch for isolated dc/dc converter with mc134063,(24---> 5)?

If the consumption is less then 10 mA the simpliest way is to use ICL7660

Here you can find a design tool for MC34063

Hi
The simple way is using charge-pump voltage converter, such as CAT660.
The current is 100mA.
