web configuration

I have ARM board which is installed with Linux. The document ays that"it has data logging softare that logs analog and digital inputs periodically. The system has a web interface for configurationand data retrieval". what does this mean?they are talking about A/D converter. But I didnt understood what is web configuartion in that board?

Thanx

Dear Sreehari,

Do this points helps to you ?
1. Your ARM-9 board can read the data and store some where on board using ADC ect.

2. When you say it stores the data it should be available to you right at host side to analyze.

3. So Linux provides different ways for that one thing is using httpd [ http demon ] using which your board acts as webserver similar to some wireless router if you know.

4. You can connect your target to the PC using LAN Cable and access/ configure it using your web browser [ for that please use the board user manual ].

If you have any specific question you can ask me.

I am also available at www.xxxxxxx/forum

It probably should be possible! Before doing anything else, you need to read your board's manual from beginning to end! I promise it helps! :)
