Hi all,

Basically, I've developed an interest in experimenting with the MEMS digital mics (ADMP421), nothing clever, just a very basic signal analysis type thing in Matlab.

I'm new to the hardware side of things, and would love for anyone to talk me through what's needed to connect it all up. I'd like to use USB power, and run things on OSX.

I've spent a good amount of time researching evaluation kits and codecs and the like, but am slightly confused as to where to start - what would be a simple setup?

Sorry for the basic question, I have been unable to find specific info on the web for what I want to do.

Thanks in advance!
Phil

Hi

I am also using ANALOG DEVICES ADMP421.
I have built special hardware in order to record the MIC digital data into a pc and then to MATLAB.
I have used ALTERA evaluation board please contact me.

Hi, thanks for the reply,
sorry for the delay getting back here.

I am very interested to see how you are getting your data through the board.

I have the akustica digital mems mics, and I was advised to get the TI AIC33 eval board for them as the AD eval boards were in short supply and they didn't respond to enquiries.

I have not yet purchased an eval board and have been working on code in Matlab instead.

Would love to hear how you are getting the data from your ADMP421s.

Kind regards,
Phil
