Which is better for RTOS?
To implement message queues to copy by reference or to copy by value?-

The factors that can play a major role in the choice include

the size of each message
the targeted platforms family in terms of word size
the tolerance of the architecture for non-aligned data

In general pass by reference would be flexible but costlier to implement for a robust system.
