OpAmp problem

I need a small (one chip if possible or simplier)
preamplifier to gain the output of my MP3 player
for my car radio's auxilary input, to be equal with the
radio and CD. It can have a fix amplification level just
be simple and small.

Can anyone help me?

thanks
Zed

Small SMD preamplifier for mp3 -> Car headunit

Dear ZedMan,
I think you can use LMC8101 the ns products
for your MP3 payer it work at 2.7 volt

Re: Small SMD preamplifier for mp3 -> Car headunit

thanks, it looks good,

- does it need external components?
- do you have a simple schematic for it?

thanks
Zed

Re: Small SMD preamplifier for mp3 -> Car headunit

:(

I've built a small preamplifier from TL072 using
the schematic from this page:

https://www.colomar.com/Shavano/intro_opamp2.html

I put it between the mp3 player and the car head unit, i set it
to 4x amplification with the resistors but i didn't hear anything,
except the noise of the HDD.
What did i wrong?

Please help me,
thanks in advance
Zed

Re: OpAmp problem

I am replying to a kind of old post, but just in case you are still looking for an answer... It is amazing how even the simplest circuits can go wrong (I have plenty of experience with this phenomenon!). The key is to check everything and make no assumptions. Is power and ground on the right pins? Your schematic doesn't show power. Can you see a signal (assuming you have a scope) on the input? Are the inverting and non-inverting inputs at the same potential? Are you sure you have the right value resistors? If you still can't get it to work, pm me and I'll look at it.
