Hi, I am new in the subject of Feedback control system. Our teacher has assigned us a project of Robotic arm with digital PID controller. We have 7-8 months to submit this project and our group consist of 4 members. I want to ask from where should I start this project, what are the pre-requiste that I must know before making this project. I want to do this project using either smart controllers(like AVR's) or implement the Digital PID on FPGA (spartan 3E kit) and If project is completed before the submission date then what extra things should I include in my project.Please post any reference of website, pdf's or any relevant stuff regarding this project.Thanks.
