Serial port PIC16F84 Programmer is powered by RS-232. to built it you need just a few components.

There are somy examples to burn the PIC 16F84 with windows xp MPLAB as a softowre. It works with +/-15V on driver lines.

Here is programmer that works with 8V. To burn the chip you need ICPROG.

wath that examples are for serial port only. To swith into usb you need microcontroller like PICkit2 or Junebug
ICprog 106B are here h t t p://www.talkingelectronics.com/Download/icprog106B.zip

Pig prog is a freeware software that can program the PIC16F84 microcontroller. It using serial programmers – JDM, LudiPipo , Com84. Can work with all windows systems from ’93 to xp.

It allow to edit data buffers thanks to doubleclocking the cells. File size is small so you don’t have to worry. Consist fast writing and reading.
You must remember that working with PIC microcontrollers is completely different than with typical systems with memory. PICs consist two data busses. First for instructions and second for else things. Instructions are responsible for each task. All RAM ( very small size) is reserved for operations. EEPROM is very slow and ahrd to change.
Pins in PIC can be configured as inputs or outputs. Some of them can be used to program ROM with an external programmer. They are called one time programmable chips. Chips with UV EPROM are used for prototyping. 16F84 chip has programmable EEPROM for the instructions. You can program this for hundreds of times.[/img]

can i use this programmer for PIC16f877A please help me
Yes..refer to the "JDM programmer" using serial port. Find it on EDA board or use google to get a lot results and pages on the topic.
Cheers
