Question about gcldnmos for power clamp esd.

Dear all:
I use gcldnmos for power clamp ESD, when I do ESD test vcc(-) gnd(+), found the body diode did not open, and the ESD failed at 400V.
Anybody knows that?
 

If you made it to 400V, perhaps it is more a lack of current
handling capability than a simple failure to function. Having
a look at the damage, where the current loop really was vs.
where you planned, and what got fried, are what you should be
looking at. Nobody can do more than guess, except you and
your favorite reliability / FA engineer.
 

I did not find the ESD device area was fired, just the long distance area of REG block was red.
Could you give more guess about that?
