hi i need help regarding find power dissipation for Op amp design my design using cadence tool.ihave got output voltage .i dont know how tp proceed next.i tried doing in calculator option but it pop up error.

can u help me in steps

Plot both voltage and current. Then multiply them using the "Calculator".

To plot current in "Analog Environment" goto "Outputs"=>"To be plotted" and click on one pin of the component you wish to measure power dissipation. Click on the pin you want, NOT the component itself.

Hope it helped.

thank u so much for your reply

i have attached my screeen shot of out voltage and gain
when i try to plot output , steps i followed
>result>direct plot>main form >current>add plot >select on schematic ?two nodes which are output and grnd.
but error.
is there any other method to find current

like what u said was >output> select on schematic, inthat i can get only voltage not current...

hope u got my point....

Do it like I said. I've attached an image so you can see where you have to click (pointed by yellow arrow)

thanks dude,

really it was helpfull, i got the current as 38mA for output voltage of 9V and input dc is 4V.
i want to know whether the answer is nearly correct atleast.
