hi,

My receiver performs hard decision. However, decoding algorithms like product-sum and min-sum need the soft information. I've tried to map the received value {0,1} to {-1, 1} as the input of the min-sum decoder, but the performance is not good in low SNR.
How to improve the error correction capability of the LDPC code when there is no soft channel information?
In this case, is LDPC code still the best code to use?

Thank you.
