Hello,
I am starting a PCB layout for Spartan-3 BGA-484 balls.

I need to know if anyone has used this package and have done board.
if yes
1) what are the number of layers required for BGA exit planning
2) What is the stack-up followed.

Thanks in advance

According to our experience, at least 6 layers.

I Undetstand that following will be the stack up in case of 6 layers

Signal-1

1) Is my assumption right?
2) Have you used the BGA of this count?
3) What is the stack-up you used in 6 Layer for BGA of 484 balls 0.8mm pitch?

Thanks

You should research the Xilinx website. They have particular data for PCB layout.

Thank you very much,
I will post the stack I am going to use for this BGA once I finalize the Board outline and Plan the BGA Exit.
