AT89S52 programming

HI friends,
i am using AT89s52 (44 pin TQFP package) and i want to program that microcontroller for that i have googled so much time and found a circuit in **broken link removed** and i connected my micro controller as shown in fig 2 in that website but after running that software to write the hex file it is saying error failed at 0000h, i dont understand what is this error, can any suggest me whether is there any way to program 89s52 using serial communication with pc(using max232).

AT89S52 programming

the given link is not working , you can just Google for 89S52 programmer schematics, most programmers shows pins for dip package. you have to use corresponding pin for TQFP package

Re: AT89S52 programming

The link is working just verify once "http://www.ikalogic.com/isp.php"

Re: AT89S52 programming

Have a look at the discussions on this thread where the USB asp Programmer can be used to program the Atmel 89S series chip.

Cheers

Re: AT89S52 programming

As I could understand from the post and the link provided, the issue is related to connecting the programmer to the microcontroller. From the data sheet or pin diagram of (44 pin TQFP package) locate the four pins shown in Figure attached (RESET, MOSEI, CLOCK and MISO) remaining two pins are 5V and GND. All these pins can be located on the package used.
The connector to the target labels these pins as P1, P2 . . . P6. If the correct lines are connected to the corresponding pins on the (44 pin TQFP package) it should resolve the problem.
