Help me 2 design a wireless transmitter and receiver circuit

Dear All,

My project goal to transmit 4/8 bit data through wireless transmitter IC and recive it using a receiver IC at a distance of 4 or 5 meter and read the data using computer?

pls help me

which IC are suitable?

Which system gives me low cost solution and less component and small space.

I cannot use more than 5 volt?

I dont have good knowledge on micro-controller. so I dont want to use that..

any modulation system can be used.
serial data transmission can be used

use HT12E and HT12D and RF433MHz RF module all the best

frequency RF range 315 mhz or 915 Mhz

Added after 36 minutes:

Nikhil...............i want to do to using antenna. so it shoutd be in RF band

If you are skilled in RF,you can make a circuit Oscillator which work at 315MHZ with SAW.the receiver can use many kinds of ic,ATA5724 for example
personal suggestion, for reference only.
