Hi everybody

I want to know what does the rf suffix at TSMC 180nm library mean (tsmc18rf)?

thanks

Re: About TSMC18rf

rf = "radio frequencies", meaning this process is suitable for working with frequencies in the ≥ Gigahertz range, including special devices used in RF systems, like, e.g. (2D-) spiral inductors, varactor diodes, and using an appropriate extraction tool for all necessary devices and parasitics, including mutual parasitics.

Re: About TSMC18rf

Thanks erikl
I have few more questions.
1- witch process should one use for KHz application?
2- Is there any matter if one uses rf process for KHz application? And does it need special configurations?
3- Are the processes different at final cost?

Thanks

The standard process.

More complicated.

Not sure. Never used an RF process.

Probably, yes.
