Hello, recently I tried to simulate the probe feed patch antenna in the Example 5.3 of HFSS user guide V10. Page 200.

In the example project, the position of the coax and the probe pin are at x:-0.5 y:0.0 z:0.0. I followed the steps of the example and got a good simulation results. However, if I tried to turn the coax and feed pin 90 degree to y axis, ( now the position x:0.0 y:-0.5 z:0.0), the simulation results are totally different. The return loss became a slash.... I didnt change anything but puting the feed pin at Y axis, instead of X axis. Just change the (x,y) to (y,x). Could anyone tell me why it give a wrong calculation?

Thanks in advance.

If you change the feed point position, you change your results.
For example: with (X,Y) X = 5; Y = 7 is not the same as (7,5).
