Dear pals,

i am trying to get the contact number of SIM, using at+cnum but it gives ok response instead of number, please help me in solving the problem. My SIM is from airtel with GPRS and sms connection enabled.

guys nobody knew about at+cnum command, its surprising.

This may be a bug in your module - some SIMCom modules do this with certain versions of software.

i tried with different modules and different sim cards but not able to get the subscriber number (phone number) for the sim used using at+cnum command....

guys help me to sort out the probs,i am struck at these issue.

I have the same problem. Is there any solution?

The +CNUM command only responds with OK, how do I get the phone number to show

This means that your phone number wasn't stored into the SIM.

Example of how to store your own mobile phone number into your SIM:

AT+CPBS="ON"

OK

AT+CPBW=1,"99XXXXXXXX",129,"Voice"

OK

Your phone number should now be stored. Use the AT+CNUM command to verify.

AT+CNUM

+CNUM: "Voice","99XXXXXXXX",129

OK
