what low frequency solver do people use?

Ansoft, Infolytica, Ansys and why? Most of the questions on electroda are based on RF or microwaves - but rarely about low frequency applications.

Does anybody know a good tool in addition to the above?

I think these programs are not always user friendly and difficult to use.....

CST,FDTD! These software can run in lower frequency!!!
 

May be, you need to use CST MAFIA or ANSOFT MAXWELL programmes.
