Gain Flatness

Hi,

I am designing amplifier and facing problem for the S21 gain flatness.
Anyone out there could advise how to troubleshoot and fix this problem.
My amp goes from 10MHz to 50 GHz and gain flatness needed is +-5dB but I got around 10dB.

Thanks in advance.

Gain Flatness

that is ultra wide amplifier. I guess you are evaluating the COTS product?

If you design the amplifier chip, you should know how to compensate the gain flatness by using distributed amplifier topology.

Re: Gain Flatness

Hi,

I think it is to much bandwidth even for distributed configuration. Would frequency multiplexing solve your problem?

Gain Flatness

In wide band design, the alternative method is using loss network match.(introduce some feed back)
