Hi,

I am trying to install IC610 - for linux. (Redhat5)

I used iscape and chose IC610, then chose latest HOTFIX release(6.1.4) from 3 options (Base, update, Hotfix). I thought it will install base and updates and later hotfix?

But, later when installation was done, I could not find icfb or icfb.exe in the install directory? is this normal?

What option should I choose to have everything installed correctly and also ensure it is latest release...

Please help! Thank you.

icfb is replaced by virtuoso. by choosing latest hotfix it will automatically download necessary files from base and USR first, you don't need to install hotfix then usr then base manually.

Thanks much, appreciate it.

EDIT,

Any idea why I get this,

Code:
/cadence/ic610/tools/dfII/bin/32bit/virtuoso: error while loading shared libraries: libhdb_sh.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I checked and this library does not exist anywhere in /cadence/ic610

but I see this library was there in IC5141 as well as in Assura612...

When I copy library from ic5141 to IC610, it shows error for other libraries,

I know this can be fixed by adding Assura library path in LD_LIBRARY_PATH but shouldn't these libraries come with IC610 also?

Installation went fine with no errors..

your LD_LIBRARY_PATH should include $MMSIM_HOME/tools/lib:$CDS_HOME/tools/lib:$ASSURAHOME/tools/lib: and so on. you must define LD_LIB... before running virtuoso. different shared objects come with different tools.

Thanks again..earlier I thought having only /cadence/ic610/tools/lib and other system libs in path would do it..but it seems we need other tools installed so that we can use their libraries...
