PCB specification

i want to make filter on PCB board since there is no duriod substrate available, pls any buddy tell me the epsr=?,thickness?

Re: PCB specification

Hi,

Use Rogers PCB material for better quality and lower losses.

Do you mean general purpose board or you want to get a PCB done. It depends a lot on the frequency you are trying to use,

Re: PCB specification

hi,i want to design band pass filter on it,at 2 ghz, will that right or the result will be unaccurate pls giude me

Re: PCB specification

Are you concerned with the inband insertion loss? If you are not, probably you can try using FR4 (Er=4.6). Try to design for higher orders than the minimal to achieve your out-band rejection.

Re: PCB specification

hi,any one using filter concern with inband insertion loss to be flat in pass band, can pcb board used in that field

Re: PCB specification

Of course, printed filter could be used with good insertion loss flatness. If you could afford, try to design with larger bandwidth than your requirement. The flatness of the filter tends to be flatter in small band centering the centre operating frequency.
