is the GPS really cut off?!!!

hi dear
i have a problem with my GPS module. it is not working from last week until now. it dose not OBSERVATION the any SATELLITE .I test it with the mobile and it dose not work too!!
 

The gps module can not find satellite.
and gps mobile can not show position.
Does someone have such a problem?
Please call me.
 

I use the u-blox "LEA-5H" GPS module.
It worked until last week.(11/2/2010)
I opened the antenna and check it.
It was not any problem.
Is it possible that the GPS is off in iran.
or the noise that send on waves TV created this problem.
Does this problem also exists in other countries?
 

well i have this problem with my system too..

i`ll be glad if any body answer and help me to solv this problem..

At first make sure that your GPS module transmit data using serial port. If then check for GPRMC String.

I am from bangladesh. I dont facing such Fproblem
 

GPRMC sentence is shown in serial port, but empty!

Is it possible the problem is caused by "jamming"?
Of course, base on the information given by the manufacturer module, this module has anti-jamming property.
Please help me to know where my work is wrong.

although jamming and some other parasites may affect on GPS satellites, hardly ever it causes the gps module, a permanent interrupt or destruction. at least there are some special hours that there r no parasites in ur country or city. so; check ur system operation in that time.
 

In and around my city, GPS rarely works.
While when I get around the city, "GPS" location will show without a problem.
Is this problem caused by jamming?
In addition, the module that I use has the property Assistnow online.
How do I use this feature?
 

As the antenna pattern shows main waves need "GPS" comes from the angle of 0 degrees.

If the antenna is a metal canister & it must be to high, is there reduced noise effect?
