Dual voltage supply ??

how to get dual voltages (12v, 0v, -12v) from a single 12V battery ??

Re: Dual voltage supply ??

Hi,

It depends on how much current you need. For relatively low currents (< 100mA), a charge pump is a simple way to invert a voltage.

Re: Dual voltage supply ??

Preferred option is to employ an off-the-shelf dc/dc converter, something similar to the NMA1212 and there are several parts available, depending on the power/current you need to draw from +/-12V supply ..
Another option is to generate only -12V using, for example 555-based dc/dc circuit, another option is a charge-pump etc. etc. ..
All depends on the current and quality of +/- 12V voltage ..

Dual voltage supply ??

Hi,
For 80mA is a charge pump on the limite, but it eixsts i.e small switchers, called voltage invers converter too...

Yes, look at Maxim - they do some capacitor pumps that will do 100mA.

Here is a simple way of generating +/- supply with a catalog coupled inductor.
