crystal oscillator!

Dear friends,

I am new to this micro-controller ATMEGA32. I have uploaded a *.asm file into the simulation file which has a ATMEGA32 microcontroller. I just want to test a LED blink program.

I would like to know how can I connect a crystel oscillator and what can be the frequency for that. I am sending the *.TSC file and *.ASM file. please tell me how to proceed here. My goal is to check the genrated code from the TINA software.

Attachments:
1. C file
2. *.asm which was generated through compilation of the above C file
3. Circuit diagram

Will be glad to see suggestions

Re: crystal oscillator!

The ATmega32 datasheet can tell you about different clocking options. You also need a serial or JTAG pogramming adaptor to
download the code and set the fuse bits.

Using the internal oscillator is the easiest option, however.
