i know that chip is actually code symbols or pulse...
so what is pulse duration and chip time,i have codings in which both of these have been assigned to two different values as 2ns and 1ns respectively..so any1 help me to understand the differences and significance plz...

Hi,
Chip duration is non other than the period of your signal. The pulse duration known also as the duty cycle is the cycle during which the signal is at high state.
