uln2803

hi

the gnd pin of this chip uln2803

can i ignore it or hook it to the gnd?

in proteus, this chip has no such pin

i wonder in real circuit if i should connect it to the ground.

Thanks

Re: uln2803

The ground is the common current connection for inputs and outputs so it normally must go to 0V.

The common diode connection must be left open circuit or be connected tp a voltage no lower than the load supply.

Re: uln2803

I don't know Proteus, but if you look at the Motorala datasheet there's an internal schematic of that device (figure 12). Of course you've to connect the GND pin.
