hello everybody...
em working on my final year project of BS..and i am working on AT commands in order to communicate with GSM modem..i executed AT+CREG command to get the operating frequency...the result of this command is..

+CREG: 2,1,"1030","639E"

my question is..how can i decode the transmitter frequency from this particular hexa form of LAI and cell id..?..is there any procedure so please tell me..itz urgent...thankyou all...

The "CREG" command returns the Location Area Code and the Cell ID. You need a command that returns the"ARFCN" (Absolute Radio Frequency Channel Number). There is no standard command for this so it varies from manufacturer-to-manufacturer.

For SIMCom modules you can use the "AT+CENG" command. For Telit modules use the "AT#MONI" command. Other modules should have a similar command.

thank you sir...but let me tell u that i m using mobile phone as a modem which is SIEMENS A60. so which AT Command will be used in order to get the ARFCN.?.

hello sir...the response is ERROR of the given command that is AT^MONI..i have also tried other commands as well which is AT^MONP...AT^SMONC...these commands are showing an error....so please sir help me out...as i m running out of time...thank you...
