Hi guyz !!! im a newby in Modems.

I designed a board for gsm/edge modem

Mobidata MBD-10E

but when i connect it through Serial Port (with Hardware Flow control) it keeps re-intialiazing it self lyk this

+ CFUN : 1
+ CPIN : Ready

//after a few seconds* again

+ CFUN : 1
+ CPIN : Ready

and it keeps on doin that until it gets halted !!!

it works fine without SIM ...
during that few seconds* time i manage to give it some AT commands ...

when i give AT&V

it starts displaying the list of all the parameters default/configured values and its stops in between giving this error msg !!

+cme error : unable to get control of the required module.

Please Help me out Guyz ...

Thanks, [/b]

Re: +cme error : unable to get control of the required modul

It looks that you have problem with your power supply, if module work ok without SIM.

When module tries to regigister itself to the network it can surge up to 2A, but if your power supply is not capable to deliver that amount of current the module will reset. Try to place the electrolytic capacitor of 1000 uF on your power supply line.
