Hi

Please help me in designing an 8*8 patch antenna at any three frequencies. Since I am new to this topic, please help me out. How should an antenna be designed actually? Can any software simulation tools be used to design it?
please reply soon.. Its urgent.
Thankyou.

Hi,

i think EMPIRE would be proper simulation tools for patch antenna array, it is very fast and accurate.

The desgin course is a lot complex, maybe you should read some relative articles first

Re: Design of a 8*8 patch antenna at three different frequen

Hello sai.spandana,

First design a single patch antennas for required frequency then use the same for 8X8 array...

Then optimize the spacing to get desired radiation patterns & return loss...
you can use any of the EM tools such Microwave Office, Sonnet, Concerto, etc...

The best getting started document to do this is appended below
