fiber optics & pipeline

dear all

i heard that sometime people put the fiber optics inside a pipeline for more protection for then putting it inside conduct so does any one here has any info. about such pipelines , is it PVC or others , its dimensions , its fittings ..........etc

Hi,
This is a thicker cable, you see, it must bee mechanically protected from slam/stof.... streaming inside of pipelines, & not to forget: you must pull it into the pipelines too...
You ca search, & find, for that as versions for used in drinkwater/wastwater pipelines.
Another spetial fiber constructions/cables are some what similars for HV air lines too:)...

See Corning/Brugg Cables/Siemens/Japan& American firms...
