Hi All,

I want to develop a system that reads Active RFID Tags from various locations and send to a central computer.
To achieve this I have the following design in my mind:

Read RFID Tags using RFID readers placed at various locations.
Send the TAG information to the central computer using Zigbee Network.

In this system I have to place both "RF reader" and "RF transceiver for IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee" in each node.
My doubt is whether it's possible to use a single chip to read RFID tags and also use it to send data over Zigbee.
I am somewhat confused over using both RFID readers and Zigbee Transceivers in a system.
Any clarifications in this regard would help me a lot.

Thanks,
Prakash

Were you able to solve this? We are looking for a similar thing for our project and would greatly appreciate any assistance
