I hav problem in connecting LPC2148 via RS232[i am using MAX232 as a line driver]. is it possible to flash using MAX232[which operates in 5V] or Should i use MAX 3232 [which operates in 3.3V].

i didnt use DTR & RTS in RS-232. instead i used jumper to make p0.14 low and reset switch. but when i try to connect its showing error [failed to autobaud-step1]...i hav attached ma circuit here...can any1 plz help me??

Hi,
I think you can look into the schematics provided for eval boards in keil.com
MCB2140 eval board uses the same controller i suppose...look into that ......

Hi

The LPC2148 working voltage is 3.3V although the I/O is 5V tolerant - so

You can use both MAX232 and MAX3232

But i don't advice you to use MAX232 since you will need a 5V power supply to operate the chip

All the best
