Hi, pls could anyone help me with schematic?

I'd like to modify the schematic below to use 12Vdc output from bridge?
Is it sufficient to change only the value of Zener diode to 12V?

What is a proper value for C1 for my case? [1/(2*pi*F*Xc)]?

And shouldn't there be any resistor in each chain?
I used LED calculator (Ucc=12V, Id=20mA, Ud=3V) and it gave me this scheme:

Solution 0: 4 x 5 array, 3 extra LEDs
