I have seen the complete package of DIY 89C programmer in this forum. But unable to locate it now..If it is still there and i upload it fior you, that is not allowed here in this forum. If some other friends found it, they may give you the link. If it is not found, i'll upload it here. Cheers

i heard about delphi can do it, front end creation should easy and good looking.

hi every body
finally I finished my programmer.
but it is not working.
I had checked the voltage to all the IC, vcc and gnd pins it shows 4.68
and proload 4.1 saying device offline and with proload5.1 device detect timeout.
firmware is 1001-3456 v44. now what should i check?
how to solv the problem pls help..
check your soldering you might short circuited at some point. i too received the same problem and also "verification failed at address 1".
its perfectly working for me.

@welove8051
thanx for your reply.
I checked all the soldering. I am using ICL232 in place of max232
other things are same as specified. voltage at icl232 is -12v is it ok? i checked at port pins, it also shows -12v aprox. that means board is connected with PC. I programmed
AT89S52 with ISP to store firmware.
i checked with V4.1 and V44 firmware and proload4.1 and proload V5.
but no luck. now frustrated. pls give suggestions. I am using single sided PCB.
Hi
Now Proload detecting the hardware but without chip
if I am placing chips in ZIF socket then proload can't detect the hardware.
where is the problem? pls give me a idea.
Thanks
still not detecting the chip
voltage at chip vcc is 5v. i checked all the soldering and track conectivity.
now what should i check?
pls help.
what ur final problem.
now 20 pin chip is detecting and can be programmed but 40 pin chip in the socket not working showing device detect time out.
still could not locate the problem.

Hi, Thx
Anyone have proper PCB file as the PDF printout size not okay.
Thanks

I made this programmer in the year 2006. I tried very hard to get the programmer fully active. It is detecting all chips, reads from it, but can't write to it. Yesterday while reading this thread, I decided to try it again. While trying to program AT89C51, C52, C1051 and C2051, it failed to write, but recognized and read as before. This time I tried with AT89S52, it was miraculously successful. What may be the cause?
I am using firmwareV3 (89xx.hex) with ProLoad21. Vpp is 12.2 volts. Please help to solve the problem.
Thanks,
P55XP
As you have used 89S52, it requires only 5 pins to program, which may be correctly connected, and thus the success. whereas the 89C series requires most of the pins connected to the ZIF socket, and thus the failures. Try looking in to your PCB for small *****, or joins, which may be the cause of the problems. Also look for malfunctionsed components, or which may be accidently assembled in reverse directions.
Cheers
Did you buy the kit from a Kolkata dealer or you got the PCB design from the net and gave the PCB to be made at a Kolkata PCB shop?Originally Posted by shamikrudra
