I am a newbie in RF PCB (LAYOUT) design field.
I only know about the impedance calculation of the straight micrstrip line.

Please help me about how to start learning the RF PCB design, consideration of bendings, effect of impedance by bending of track, how to design layout when high freq and low freq are together in the same PCB, etc.

I suppose the material used for high freq (around 10GHz ) PCB is Roger material.
how to select PCB material?

I have to design the PCB which has max of 12Ghz and downcoversion to IF.

PLEASE HELP ME IN PUTTING A STEP FORWARD IN RF PCB DESIGN FIELD

Read some RF books (Pozar). Your topic request is a little too large, perhaps you better ask for a specific problem...

Thank u for d reply :D

I know that topic is too large......but have to start from somewhere.....

Pozar will give general theory about the microstrip and other stuff but will not help me in understanding the basic consideration and start for the RF PCB design.

Please guide me to get a good start for it............It would be better if u know some document which will help me for the start.......such as impedance consideration for the bending of the track , grounding and power plane consideartion....

hi,

here are some help. Please read this document and it will help you.

Added after 8 minutes:

its here, i forgot to upload last time.

for more help you can download this tool for your help.

i have attachd the link in the text file. you can also download the gerber viewer.

what are the different types of libraries used in PCB

the first one is a very good document.

yes the first one is the documents which explain you all the basics for layout design for RF. hope it will help you.

Second one is the Tool to calculate the trace width, impedance calculator, via inductance etc

Please press the help me button if i really helped you :)
