Hi everybody, i'm a newcomer!
I'm from Viet Nam, and being a senior of Post and Telecommunication Institute of Technology.
Now, I'm trying to finish my thesis which is about "MIMO and space-time coding Technique". And i have a trouble with Puncturing Technique which is used in encoding and decoding.
I create this topic to ask someone to help me! Please!
Thank a lot!

Punctures is mainly used to convert the code rate of 1/2 to higher code rates as 2/3, 3/4 and 5/6. The aim of this process to simplify the encoding and decoding process as the implementation will be for CC of code 1/2. There are well known patterns that are used to specify the bits that will be punctured for different code rates.

Can u send to me some documents about it?
Thank a lot!

This book contains the different puncturing patterns used in the WiMAX standards for different code rates 1/2,2/3,3/4 and 5/6.
The concept of the puncturing is very simple as I stated, and the MATLAB 2008 has a filed in the convenc command for the puncture pattern, If your research is mainly in Puncturing only, you have to search for detailed papers.
Search this book for the keyword puncture and you will find a very good three pages for this topic.
Good luck.

Added after 13 minutes:

I am so sorry, I forgot that your research is on MIMO+STC.
I think that this document is enough.
Good luck.
Wishing you all the best.
