metal detector

Hello

I'm new to the forum and a total novice in electronics. I would apprecriate any help that can be offered about my project.

I want to build a small metal detector, instead of having it beep or make any kind of noise when it detects metal I would like to have it signal by vibrating, or some element connected to it vibrating. I have done brief research on google and will be hitting the library for elementary electronics books but would appreciate if anyone knows if this is possible.

Many thanks

Chris

Got a good site for you ,.....experimental results are also provided on metal detectors ....

in case of the Buzzer termination , just use a vibration circuit as the termination , when inductance will be varying for the presence of metal.

hope will be really helpful to you.
