GEL batteries

hello guys
Whats the difference between GEL batteries and valve regulated lead Acid Maintenance free Batteries ??

Re: GEL batteries

Hi,

GEL is the art of the electrolyte. A gel battery is always valve regulated and maintenance free. But a VRLA (Valve regulated lead acid) battery is not always a gel battery......could also be an AGM (absorbed glass mat) battery.
